calmu Privacy Policy

calmu helps you record income, expenses, and budgets. This policy describes the current version of the iOS app.

Your records

The app stores your entries, amounts, dates, categories, account labels, notes, and budgets in a local file on your device. calmu does not send this information to the developer or operate an account or cloud synchronization service.

Receipts, camera, and photos

If you choose to scan a receipt, calmu uses Apple's on-device text recognition to suggest an amount, date, and merchant. Camera access is requested only for photographing a receipt. When you choose a photo, the system photo picker provides the selected image. calmu does not request access to your entire photo library. Receipt images are used temporarily for recognition and review and are not retained in the ledger. The details you confirm are saved as a normal record.

Exports and device backups

You can export your records as CSV. You choose where to save or share the file, and that destination's practices apply. Your device's backup and operating-system settings may also copy local app data. These services are controlled by you and their respective providers.

Analytics, advertising, and tracking

The current app does not include advertising, analytics, cross-app tracking, or a developer-operated data collection service.

Deleting records

You can delete individual records or choose Delete all records in Settings. Deleting data within calmu does not delete CSV exports, saved photos, or copies in device backups. Manage those copies separately using the relevant service or device settings.

Support communications

If you contact support, the information you choose to provide, such as an email address or message, is received through the support channel. Please do not include sensitive financial records or receipt images unless needed to explain an issue.

Policy updates

This policy may be updated to reflect changes to the app. The effective date above identifies the current policy.
