When reporting an issue, include your iPhone or iPad model, iOS version, calmu version, and the steps that led to the issue. Please avoid sending private financial information.

Getting started

Tap + to record income or an expense. Use Calendar to review a day and Insights to explore spending charts. Settings contains budgets, sample data, CSV export, and record deletion.

Supported currencies

calmu currently records Japanese yen (JPY). Currency conversion and other currencies are not supported.

Receipt scanning

Use a clear, well-lit photo containing the entire receipt. Japanese and English text recognition runs on the device. Review and correct the amount, date, merchant, and category before saving. Camera capture requires camera permission; selecting a photo uses the system photo picker.

Camera access

If camera permission was denied, open the iOS Settings app and allow camera access for calmu. You can also choose an existing receipt photo.

Saving and exporting

Records are stored locally. Export CSV from Settings to keep a readable copy of your records. CSV import and cloud synchronization are not available, so an exported CSV cannot currently be restored into the app.

Deleting data

Delete a record from its editor or delete all records in Settings. These operations cannot be undone. Existing CSV files, photos, and device backups must be managed separately.
